Try the FoX 9.50 this week end...!
« on: April 07, 2008, 13:02:06 PM »
The FoX 9.50 (Class 9,50) will make its racing debut this Friday April, the 11th. And for this special occasion, everybody is invited to join the already impressive 100+ boat line up! How? Just log on to Sailonline.org and enter the Dynawind VenerRace, a 160 nautical miles race on the Swedish lake Vänern.

The predicted polar speeds of the Charles Bertrand design currently in the process of being completed at the Arctic Composite yard in Sweden have been uploaded by the Sailonline.org team and everyone now has the opportunity to have a go at racing the boat even before the first one hits the water in about a month time from now…!

Sailonline.org is a realistic online ocean sailing simulator which gives the sailor a stimulating, fun and in the best case educational experience on the true international arena that we call the globe.

To login and register for the race, go to www.sailonline.org
For more information about the FoX 9.50, visit www.fox-tech.co.uk

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi John,
Soon hopefully...! :-)
I'm flying up to the yard on Monday to help out with the last details, fitting out the hardware, putting the keel on, etc...
First splash should happen on the last days of the month, but without the rig. Unfortunately, due to logistical reasons, the mast won't be up at the yard until about June 10th.

I'm being told that the finish is great and that she looks terrific!
Can't wait to see her in the water. I will of course post some news on the forum.

Cheers,
Charles

Hi John,
Here are a few shots i took during my last visit at the yard back in May.
Due to logistical issues, the rig will only arrive at the yard next week.
Will keep you posted,

Cheers,
Charles

I'm being told the pictures aren't visible, although i can definitely see them when i'm logged in?
Anybody knows where the problem might come from?

Fine for met too, anyone having problems should check their board settings, but default ids to show photos...

Is the first one staying in Sweden, or coming more South ?

First one is coming down to Germany.
If things stay as planned, i will sail it down from Kiel to La Rochelle for the Grand Pavois (and then back up)
Any body interested in sailing the boat on this occasion, please feel free to contact me.
Cheers,
Charles

It looks great, well done Charles.

I will be available but airfares from downunder will stop me from making the trip.
