So its Pogo2 and D2 and this one.
All 3 very race orientated... this one looks a bit like the Nacira.

And if someone buys one, it takes away one client of the other yards who need most likely more orders :)

With 10 orders to become series... it's going to be really tough. I still got in my mind the poor Mistral guys. And Nacira guys now too...

Who's going to risk??? it's a bet and if i have to do so, i prefer odds not against me.

THe situation with one yard 90% specialized in serie minis as Structures was in the beginning will be something that will not happen for a decade or so. Is my risky gamble....

I can't seem to find a link to the boat or yard. Does anyone have one? The architect's website hasn't been updated for a while and doesn't include the design.

GECKO 6.50, the new Transat 6.50 série …
Gecko 6.50 is designed by Julien Marin (France) upon the experience of offshore racing through
previous Transat 6.50, Class40’ & Class 9.50 designs with speed and simplicity purposes.
With round bilged hull and two chines above waterline Gecko 6.50 is fast powerful and very stable on
course ; its wetted surface area remains moderate at zero degree of heel thanks to a moderate beam
at waterline : a good point in light airs.
Full bow sections fulfill the requirements for easy seakeeping upwind when flat bottom sections
generate early planing facilities.
Fitted with twin folding rudders, thin cast iron keel and T-shaped lead bulb Gecko 6.50 generates low
resistances on course.
Sail plan gives rise to high aspect ratios and good balance whatever the wind ranges and sail plan
reductions applied.
Gecko 6.50 design is also the result of an efficient brain storming with past & current mini racers, on
both série & proto fleet, and condensates skills, experiences and best solutions at sea.
Gecko 6.50 is fully built througn infusion process by Gecko Composite (Tunisia), both deck and
internal structure are made of sandwich panel on a net of omega stiffeners & stringers.
Infusions garantees a lignt and constant displacement with appropriate structural strength.
Gecko 6.50 is built by skilled people in Tunisia and finalised in France by a famous mini racer : it is
delivered ready to sail as a fast, strong and strictly monotype Transat 6.50 Série.
Sale price is 36 000,00 euros including VAT, with full deck gear fitted without sails nor electronics.
