Chart plotters
« on: January 09, 2010, 18:31:24 PM »

Hi all, doing some sponsored sailing for a local charity in Cornwall England this year and using a friends Mini 194 for the season, am I correct is saying that plotters are banned in the class?? This year i'll only be doing the UK mini fastnet so i guess that's the only race i wont be able to use 1.??
Also will be doing the FAL 500
Cowes- st.malo
and some COGS races in cornwall. then possibly the AZAB in 2011.
When buying a new solar panel, where is best?? Anyone recommend a type of survival suit?
Whilst fitting a new radio is DSC the way to go?
whats the best wind, depth, speed gear to buy, tack tick?? which model????

look forward to getting some help along the way.

cheers Adam

Plotters are not allowed.

Search the forum for TPS and you will find out all you need about Survival Suits. The Guy Cotton suit is one of the best and apparently also the most comfortable. (As well as the most expensive;-)
In the rules it says that the suit must comply with at least the standard ISO 15027-1, category A and gurantue a minimum thermal protection of 0.75 clo submerged.
