Rolland 305
« on: September 14, 2010, 18:50:00 PM »
I am seriously considering buying the 2000 Rolland Dingo #305. But,  it weighs 2434 lbs.  or 1,104 kg making it the heaviest mini in northern California. Emma Creighton’s  Rogers design #574 weighs 1874 lbs. or 850 kg   that’s 560 lbs or three big crew and their gear.
574 also has 60 sq feet more spinnaker area than 305. I don’t see how I could ever be competitive with those numbers. Any thoughts?

Hi, Correct me if I am wrong but the 305 is a series (Dingo) and the 574 is a proto. Different class.

Dingo is her name and is a proto designed by Pierre Rolland and built in Canada.
The weigh is due to fiberglass build.
