Clay Burkhalter made up a bunch of places and was 13th at Yeu. It'll be interesting to see how he finishes.

his hull is not to bad for light winds, and its damn light...
as always, the light is the hardest to sail fast, everyone can be fast in 30 knots...
Hence why the Pogos came in 3 and 4th after a night of 35 knots in Gyon... simple boats, fast boats. But loosing in the light again...

a pity LeBlevec broke rudder cassette,
551 with canting rig went fine too.. i think he replaced rig so waiting to see photos of it...

Some made the comment:
A finot is like a Porsche, refined, fast and responsive, a Manuard is like an American muscle car, a brute, powerfull but not nimble.

Still no list of Mini Pavois finishers by Series design.  I guess a Pogo 2 was the first Series to finish. Were there any SC's, Zeros or other Series entries?

It looks as though the Mini Pavois site is not going to do more than list the finish order & indicate Proto or Series.  Will Classe Mini have a better summary?

Did Yves have rig problems or something?  It is now clear that the new Finots have much more powerful hulls than their last generation.  They are pushing massive upwind sail plans as well.  When do they go to second reefs in their jibs?

nope, apparenlty he broke a rudder. Upwind sail plan is not that massive, solent is at 18m2 about 2m2 bigger than some of the fleet. second reef is about the same size than the first reef with the rest of minis. when going for it depends on boat balance, stability, sea state, etc... but i´d reccon around 30 kts...
