European mini's second life in USA or Canada ?
« on: February 22, 2010, 14:06:46 PM »
Good day All.

In Europe there is a lot of prototype and serial's minis for sale. There is less and less racers and more and more shipyards. The North American mini class is growing. I would like to know if you think that a second life, in America, for our European minis should be expected ?

I have one of those boats (10 years old) for sale and my project is to cross the Atlantic Ocean between French coast and North American coast. Once in America, I would like to sale my small boat (Petit Citron Vert n°184). For that I am looking for an arrival port in USA such as New York or Newport but the objective is to join some minis already in USA.
Could you please tell me which port should be the best for my arrival ?

Thanks for your answers.

PS : excuse my poor English.

Good day All.

In Europe.....

There are a handful on the east coast, and there is a facebook page on which owners confer.  I would think either NYC or Annapolis, although there are a few here for sale already.  The market seems small and the prices for a boat in the US are much higher compared to one outside of the US.   Hope that helps.
