Do not like that one either, yes I am picky...
Metal like that with different temperatures will move.
IS that m65 project any further, it has been years and years... If they are not quick they are outdated when they hit the water....

Since it is the last day of June, I checked the m65, the website now says "August 2008".

Do the principals of m65 post on this board?

They used to post here but as the project has been delayed over and over I guess they decided to lay low until they have something positive to report.  I realize that it is very, very difficult to get these kinds of things off the ground, but we're going on two years now, and as Leo pointed out somewhere, by the time this boat hits the water the design will already be a bit dated.  Not that older designs can't win races - they do all the time - but it's hard to generate as much excitement for something designed 3-4 years ago that is just now seeing the light of day.

Still, better some boat being built in North America than no boat.

Working on the deck mold. Should be finished next week. Yeah.

First is deck with gel coat on.

Center photo is after 4 layers of Chopped Strand Mat.

Right photo is balsa core down to bulk up the mold for strength. Use vacuum bag to improve bond to underlying composite.

Look for PR release in next week or so.....

Thanks for posting the photos and providing the update, NA Builder.  It's nice to see progress and get some encouraging news.  Best of luck in bringing this to market.

Just got notified about a blog entry by Herb Mc Cormick from the Annapolis Boat Show. I did get to see it floating at the dock there:
